"As an artist I am interested in capturing the spirit of the place or the event I seek to present.

 

My work is inspired by my previous experience working in a cytopathology laboratory, my trips around the world and from my childhood memories. My travels around-the-world were not for artistic endeavors but the impressions and experiences obtained have influenced by work.

 

Water-based inks and pigmented beeswax on Asian papers are my preferred media.

 

Among the many artists who have influenced me are Paul Klee, Robert Motherwell, Wucius Wong, early Chinese printmakers and current Japanese printmakers.”
